RLSH Spotlight: Citizen Prime

What awesome timing for another high profile RLSH to retire. Yes folks the guy with the $4000.00 costume has hung up his battle armor.

He has made the wise choice to start being a better parent and dedicate his time to his family.

And with his departure Citizen Prime leaves us with this fascinating tidbit from his farewell message:

"Truthfully the Real Life Super Heroes movement and I have always been somewhat at odds. My message has been one of hope and peace through positive action. The darker elements of the movement always threaten to engulf the social enlightenment I, and others, advocate and it eventually kept me at arm's length from the majority of the RLSH. While I always found this regrettable, I also found it enviable, and it made me wonder if Citizen Prime's presence was contrary to the very message I evangelized."

Bravo good sir, I wish you the best on your retirement!

If anyone knows if he is having a garage sale please let me know.

  1. In Eulogy;

Citizen Prime was an early member of the heroic movement, and though he built his bullet suit to dissuade the diabolical forces in Utah, he was an early adopter of Citizen Activist as an alternative to vigilantism. One never heard a bad story told about him (other than, you know, he rusts) and only wish him well in that Great Retirement Home called "Reality". Raise your children well, and always keep the fun alive.

That HUGE Electro Magnetic trap has to go to the scrap heap now.

  2. In all fairness, I do wish him the best of luck returning to a normal life that doesn't involve worrying the living shit out of his family if daddy is going to come home with a gunshot wound to the steel face. Although I do see this as an opportunity to construct a poorly crafted Citizen Prime suit out of tinfoil for the sole purpose of continuing to irritate the living fuck out of the "heroes".

Also, his condemning of the RLSH community for being full of shit is a great victory for the RLSVs. Nothing says 'big win' like a founding father of the "movement" calling foul on his predecessors moronic and self-serving behavior.

Reading between the lines is FUN!! :D

Looking forward to the next retirement party,

  3. Good, another worthless fool retires. RLSH are a disgrace to people like me. These spandex-fetishes are getting stupid, and need to stop. I've seen these "heroes" do nothing more than give out food and pick up trash. These idiots just want publicity. When the time comes, you will figure out what my name is. You will hear of me one day. Not for picking up trash in a halloween costume, but grabbing a gun and pumping some criminals with lead. Here's a hint: I'll be the only vigilante thats using knives, grenades and guns to destroy fugitives. Laws must be broken to do what I'm going to do. I will do what I must.

  4. Anonymous,

It must be said, that none in Villainy condone or approve of violence against any - be they the good, or the bad. It's an intellectual exercise to think in the terms you've mentioned, but it falls apart when applied to real world conditions. Violence warrants harsh response from Law Enforcement, as it should, and violence as a strategem, only creates more violence in turn. The bigger issue, would be to attempt to reason causes for crime, and address those areas. For example, if poverty creates crime, can poverty be aleviated? If hopelessness leads to drug use, can hope be delivered to those without? One claims Evil can do a better job of this than Good - because Evil is better.

Please, if you are considering going down a road to violence - think again. You can do more, over a sustained period of work, than you can with a ill conceived regrettable moment. Changing the world will take time, and patience, and dedicated work, but it CAN be done.

Please be aware, that blogging, and all Internet activity has the potential, and real possibility of tracking IPAddress information. You might only mean it in mock seriousness, but there are people who will take what you type seriously, and act accordingly.

Lastly, everyone may feel frustrated by the events in the world, and have a very real need to contribute value. If you are experiencing anxiety, there are people who can help. First seek out your family and friends, and people you can trust. The clergy can also help you. If you are not receiving the understanding that you need, then please seek out qualified professionals in the Counseling Services. It is not shameful to seek help if you believe you may need it.

  5. If you were really going to do something like that, you would not post it on the internet, especially on someones blog. If you want to make a real difference, help try and make a real difference instead of just killing people. Anyone can go out and kill a drug dealer. The moral compass is what prevents it, and the fact some people just don't have the stomach for it also helps thankfully. Although we may want to cause harm, you have to think, when has violence truly helped anyone? When has war really made anything better? It may elimate the problem temporarily but it will not solve problems in the long run.

  6. oh, and I wanted to point out that I do not think whoever the anonymous idiot is will actually commit any of those heinous acts, and if they do god help them, cause they are going to need it. Both to escape police and criminals. He needs to read Z's post regarding crime.

  7. This dude, when he isn't shuffling about with fistfuls of diaphanous florescent scarves at free music festivals, has a giant wheelie cart and picks up trash all day. ALL FUCKING DAY.

He even battles hooligans. With scarves. He puts the rest of you RLSHs to shame.

  8. I am the Silver Sentinel, and I will miss Citizen Prime. He tried to make a difference and did a lot of good, but the darker elements, as he said, finally pushed him away from the rlsh. Personally I think there is way too much "darkness" and other bullshit (please pardon my language)in the rlsh community and people like myself are trying to do something about that.

Maybe one day the rlsh will be something Citizen Prime can look upon with pride and know that he is welcome in our ranks. And on that day I also hope that the darker "heroes" will know that their's is not the way things should be.
